Changing Paths

If you have not read the Joining page, please do this first as we have not repeated the information on this page.

This section is initially in two parts, the information below about setting up a completely new coven, and the information on the page accessible from the button to the left for those covens wishing to change paths.

The New Coven

As you will remember from the joining page.  A group of licentiate or student members, who do not have at least one priest or priestess ( sorcerer), we call a ring. You can operate as a ring, and become a coven as soon as at least one of you have taken the oath.

Forming a ring is the same as becoming a solitary, other than you may take your oath as a group if you wish.

As a ring, you can do as you wish, celebrate seasonal days, perform limited magic, and together learn more about the craft.

Once you are ready, one or more of your members becomes a priest or priestess, and then the ring can become a coven. In order to convert anyone from any grade above the student grade, you will need to have access to a high priest or priestess. Up to the time your coven has its own, or after if all the high priestess and high priestesses should leave, you will need to have access to another.

This should be arranged through us, so that you are sure they are on our register. Otherwise later there could be dispute about what grades your people are.

All grade changes are notified to us, so we can add them to the central register, there is no cost for any of this record keeping.

If you need to have an person provided for your coven to allow an oath and grade change to occur this can usually be done either by you visiting the high priestess/priest or them coming to you. You may be asked to pay their out of pocket costs of visiting you, such as transport and hotel costs. If you are able to visit them there would not normally be any costs.

Before attending or even arranging it, you should have become sufficiently knowledgeable that you understand the process, theory behind it and are ready for this.

Virtual Wicca  - www.witchcraft-wicca.com

Virtual Wicca are a part of Power Wicca,  but is a virtual coven that Wiccan from around the world can belong to, and share their knowledge and skills. Its fundamental beliefs are that of Power Wicca, but as it is in many ways a collection of solitaries, each witch will have their own individual beliefs.

Virtual Wicca encourages its members to form their own rings or covens, either as a part of Power Wicca or as a path of their own. It provides one of the most convenient and friendly routes for those with a calling to Wicca to get the help they require to get involved.
